Bank of Scotland Corporate chooses APAK to provide Wholesale Finance system
APAK Group plc has been selected by Bank of Scotland Corporate, part of the HBOS Group (formed by the merger of the Halifax and Bank of Scotland), to supply its Wholesale Funding system (WFSv5). The decision has continued Bank of Scotland Corporate's policy of implementing forward thinking, state of the art business technology. The new solution will support Bank of Scotland Corporate's multiple joint ventures, manufacturers and over 2000 dealer relationships.
WFSv5 will provide Bank of Scotland Corporate with a web enabled, real-time system. Bank staff, manufacturers and dealers will be able to access the software online to monitor and maintain their accounts. The system is expected to significantly improve Bank of Scotland Corporate's process in the wholesaling of Dealers' stock funding. "APAK's approach to streamlining and automation ensures that business efficiency is maximised and it is our aim that only the exceptions will require attention by Bank employees", explained Tony Allen, APAK WFS Business Manager.
The system will be supplied on an Application Service Provision (ASP) / full bureau basis over the next five years. APAK and Bank of Scotland Corporate are in the process of building customer specific enhancements to the core product. WFSv5 will support Bank of Scotland Corporate's six joint ventures and over 2000 dealer relationships covering, the motor sector, light and heavy commercial vehicles, trucks, motorcycles and caravans as well as agricultural and industrial equipment.
Dealer on-line access is via a Java Server Page (JSP) application, which means the software does not need to be distributed. Any modern PC with a standard web-browser and modem is all that is required from the customer.
David Foster, Director of Sales and Business Development at Bank of Scotland Corporate, is delighted with APAK's solution. "Bank of Scotland Corporate needed to replace the existing in-house system with a new product that could move the business forward and match the needs of our customers in to-days market place. After screening the market place we found that APAK's applications offered the best technical and business functionality compared to rival products. We are now looking forward to building a long-term business relationship with APAK over the coming years".
